The foreclosure rate in Des Moines increased in January compared to the year before, but the percentage of mortgages seriously delinquent fell, according to a new Corelogic report. Iowa's foreclosure rate is 2.34 percent, below the US average of 3.63 percent. Des Moines' foreclosure rate was 2.83 percent in January, slightly higher than the state average.
