April's the start of season, and KCCI reports some of the work to be done will make I-80 safer. I-DOT's going to start installing new cable barrier along 2 sections of I-80 in Jasper and Polk Counties. One will be a 22 mile stretch from milepost 142 to 164. They were moved up on the construction schedule after several serious crashes in the past year.
