A man who answered a Craig's List ad has helped Des Moines police solve a crime. Mark Olsen noticed in the ad, a man was selling camera equipment for about half it's price, and at a face-to-face meeting the seller appeared like he was trying to make sure Olsen wasn't a police officer. Olsen did some online research and found out about a robbery of Alexander photography, and called police. Police helped him meet the seller again, this time with a police cruiser nearby. 45-year old Melvin Quincy Key was arrested for second degree theft.
