Good news for farmers, bad news at the grocery store. Corn prices rose 23 cents per bushel yesterday, nearing a record of $7.99 that was set back in June 2008. The US Department of Agriculture released a report last week saying supplies were about 15 percent behind last year, and that has sent prices up about 90 cents since.
