The Ankeny School District's scrubbed plans for a September bond referendum, saying they need more information before asking the community to support an $18.5-million plan to build a 10th elementary school. They're looking at a bond referendum next February. One factor is leadership changes: the board has hired a new superintendent, two assistant superintendents and a chief financial officer since June.
