Firefighters were called to a Hy-Vee store in Windsor Heights late this morning. When the alarms went off t the store in the 7100 block of University Avenue, customers left their carts and got out. Windsor Heights Fire Chief Chris Cross tells KCCI a few sprinkler heads activated ans helped contain the fire to an area near a mechanical room. Cross says the problem was a malfunctioning water heater.
