Flags to be Lowered for Iowa Soilder Killed in Afghanistan

Gov. Branstad's ordered all flags in Iowa to be flown at half-staff from 5 p.m. Friday until 8 a.m. on Monday, to honor the memory of Army Sgt. James Skalberg Jr. The 25-year old was killed in Afghanistan, while on active duty in the U.S. Army on June 27, when an IED was detonated near the vehicle he was driving. He was one of two soldiers killed in the explosion.
