A state corrections officer's shown in a prison video kicking an inmate last November, says he's contesting his firing for use of excessive force. The video,obtained by The Des Moines Register, shows Michael Scott, taking an inmate to his cell at the Iowa State Penitentiary, backing up a step then kicking him. Scott was fired in December. The guards union and the state have been at odds on staffing levels.
