Charles Freeborn's girlfriend was on the stand today at the trial of the man charged with his murder. Richard Polak's charged with opening fire on Freeborn's Des Moines home last August. Jessica McKellip testified that Polak had been beaten and robbed at her home a few months before the murder, and prosecutors say Freeborn was an unintended target of Polak's retaliation.
