Swanson Pleads Guilty to One Murder

The Minnesota teen convicted in June for killing a convenience store clerk won't stand trial for the killing of another clerk. Prosecutors say 18-year old Michael Swanson's informed them of his intent to plead guilty to murder and robbery charges in last November's killing of Vicky Bowman-Hall in Algona. He's also expected to ask for immediate sentencing on the plea Thursday afternoon. That morning he'll be sentenced for murder and robbery in the death of Sheila Myers. He faces mandatory life in that case.
