The Midwest economy is slumping. The survey released today on the Mid-America Business Conditions Index shows - it dropped to 57.2 last month, compared to 57.6 in May. The index was 60 in April. One-fourth of the managers surveyed - said the biggest obstacle in the next year is the implementation of health care reform.
