A Des Moines man says he was attacked by three assailants who tied him up in his own apartment and stole thousands of dollars in jewelry and other items.
The man told police he was in his apartment shortly after midnight early this morning, when he heard a knock at his door and saw a woman outside. When the man answered, the woman ran away and three men rushed into his apartment.
The man told police that the men punched and kicked him, and tied him up with power cords and his own belt. One assailant allegedly held a saw to his throat.
The man says his assailants ransacked the apartment and took more than $4,700 in jewelry, tools and other items.
