Big Copper Theft in Des Moines

There's been another copper heist in Des Moines. POlice say someone stole a construction trailer outside Roosevelt High School Wednesday night. There was 800 pounds of copper inside. KCCI reports metal thefts are a lot more common with near-record prices for copper, platinum, aluminum and other metals. Thieves have been targeting catalytic converters on cars and copper wiring and then selling them to scrap yards.
