Iowa is among the highest ranking states, when it comes to college entrance exam scores. Of all states where more than half of the graduating high school students took the ACT, Iowa kids were the second highest scoring in the country. Iowa’s average composite score was 22.3. Minnesota students scored 22.9, for the top spot.
