That a 19 year old man was killed in Waterloo, is not being considered a hate crime, and still not arrests have been made. Police said that while witnesses claimed that those who attacked Marcellus Andrews last week said there were anti-gay comments made, Andrews and his attackers had an ongoing beef with each other. Police said the differences between them escalated last week to that beating. Andrews died of blunt force trauma after he was taken off life support.
