Des Moines police had a little cleaning to do, before they moved their mobile speed trap, this week. Officers report that the radar unit had a broken egg on its windshield on Wednesday night. Someone was either taking target practice or trying to obscure the view of the camera. It’s been set up in the 1600 block of Beaver Avenue. Today, the cleaned unit is in the 1400 block of the Martin Luther King Junior Parkway bypass, watching eastbound traffic.
