Limits on Booze and Tobacco Sales in Des Moines?

A lot of Des Moines gas stations and convenience stores have closed, and they've become magnets for illegal dumping and graffiti. The Des Moines Register reports new operations at those sites are focused on liquor or tobacco sales, and residents' aren't thrilled. Tonight the Planning and Zoning Commission's debating new regulations that could limit how many of those kinds of outlets could open in a given community.
