There's a crack in a floor beam of the bridge deck over the Mississippi River between Lansing, Iowa and De Soto Wisconsin. That's why Iowa transportation officials have closed the bridge. Officials said the bridge that's on Highway nine was closed suddenly yesterday when an inspection crew discovered the crack. How long will it be closed? Department officials say they don't know, but traffic is being rerouted to other bridges over the Mississippi, north and south of Lansing.
