A 19 year old Des Moines man has been charged with felony eluding, failure to obey a stop sign, failure to wear a seat belt, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while barred. Craig Farnsworth was arrested in the 2900 block of Maple Street, Sunday night. Police say he led them on a high speed car chase through neighborhoods near the fairgrounds, then ditched the car. He was picked up and found to have 15 active warrants. Police also stopped 27 year old Allen Draper of Pleasant Hill. They believed he was a passenger in the car during the chase, but he's been released.
