Somebody hit the Des Moines Police Departments' mobile speed camera unit with eggs on Tuesday. That's what police said. Police said officers found the vandalism in the 1600 block of Beaver Avenue. Investigators said that the act may have disrupted the camera's operation, but they're checking video to see what clues they might find. Police have filed a criminal mischief report in the case.
