Could we see higher gas prices? Because of the Hawkeye state's deteriorating roads, we could be looking at a ten cent a gallon tax, thus raising the price at the pump. There was a public forum in Des Moines yesterday where most of those who spoke said the state needs more money to fix its 114 thousand miles of roads.
