Several popular swimming beaches in Iowa have posted warnings for swimming. The State Department of Natural Resources says water samples at King’s Pointe resort at Storm Lake, Hickory Grove Lake near Colo and Don Williams lake at Ogden exceeded limits for fecal bacteria this week. The Des Moines Register reports health officials suggest that swimmers avoid swallowing the water and bathe after swimming to avoid getting sick.
