Superintendent Could See New Contract with Incentive to Stay

The Des Moines School Board is discussing ways to keep Superintendent Nancy Sebring. Board members will vote on whether to re-work her contract, so that she gets rewarded with a 200-thousand dollar bonus, if she stays in her job for another five years. The proposed contract would guarantee Sebring severance pay, if she's let go by a future board and allows for pay and benefits through the end of the contract, if she's released for any reason other than 'just cause.'
