The Polk County Board of Supervisors is throwing support behind the expansion project at Bridgestone America’s Tire Operations in Des Moines. The Supervisors approved a 50-thousand dollar zero interest loan and a 50-thousand dollar grant to help with the 56.6 million dollar construction. The project includes purchasing and installing new machinery and equipment into the existing facility. The expansion could create 72 new jobs.
