Keokuk County Sheriff Jeff Shipley goes to trial in October for drunk driving. He was busted by an Iowa State Trooper July 27th in Sigourney. He was off duty and in a private car at the time. Shipley plead guilty to drunk boating in 2008. In April, he and two of his deputies were involved in a deadly shootout with a man at a farmhouse near Sigourney. A deputy and the suspect were killed.
