The new owners of a Charles City chicken plant that closed last winter hope to reopen it by Sept. 1. According to KCCI, Chicago-based Charles Austin Ltd., and an associated, separate company, had the winning bid of just over $2-million at an federal bankruptcy court auction Friday. A spokesperson for the new owners, says they plan to hire 100 people, and add another 50 by the end of the year, with a 2nd shift coming on line in 2012
