Polk City Athletics Facilities

Plans to build a new sports field complex, trail, and upgrade other sports facilities in Polk City, are down but not out, despite voters rejecting a $4-million bond issue to pay for it. The Des Moines Register reports City Councilman Dave Dvorak says they're looking at other ways of getting it done. Dvorak's liaison to the parks commission, and says all the groups involved will be meeting to talk about it. City council expected to talk about it the work session before their June 13th meeting.
