Iowa's Department of Natural Resources is tightening its' belt. The Des Moines Register reports Director Roger Lande informed staff today that as of July, the department's cutting 3 jobs in the Geological and Water Survey Bureau, 13-contract jobs at the University of Iowa, 39-currently vacant jobs won't be filled, and 116 part-time seasonal jobs won't be filled either.
