An empty warehouse in West Des Moines' been added to the list of possible locations for a federal immigration enforcement center. The new property's in the southeast part of the city, near Raccoon River Sports Complex. Before ICE could set up shop there, The Des Moines Register reports the city board of adjustment would have to hold a public hearing and approve a permitted conditional use permit. The property's currently zoned for general industrial use.
