Des Moines Police say Shana Marie Harris was at home on 17th Street, lying on her couch about 5 a.m. watching TV when she heard shots go off and dropped to the floor. Officers discovered a round in the wall by the TV and one on the floor by her front door, according to a police report. A witness sitting in a car a few houses away reported a dark-colored van with darkened windows drove down the street, stopped in front of Harris’ house, then sped away. Police are investigating.
