Des Moines is less than two weeks from starting a new automated red light traffic camera enforcement system. Once it goes active drivers will have a 30-day grace period when you'll get warning tickets. After that the tickets will be very real, and must be paid. The Des Moines Register reports some of the poles and hardware for the automated red light system's already in place.
