Big Losses for Iowa Companies Yesterday

All eyes are on the markets, today, after yesterday’s nationwide sell off. Iowa’s twenty largest publicly traded companies lost a collective two point two billion dollars of market value. That’s a bigger loss in one day than all of last week, combined. Principal Financial Group took one of the worst hits. The state’s largest insurer lost 11.5 percent of its value.
