Iowa's Army National Guard's canceled training scheduled for March 5-6, worried that the congressional budget fight might lead to a federal government shutdown. According to the Des Moines Register, a Guard spokesperson says the Iowa Air Guard is waiting until later next week to decide whether to maintain its training schedule for that weekend. About 97% of the Iowa Guard's $400 million budget comes from federal sources.
