United Steelworkers union will return to the bargaining table with Titan Tire. Three days of talks have been scheduled for March 8 to 10, according to the union’s website. Representatives from the Des Moines plant will join others from Illinois and Ohio in the talks. Titan locked out 1,000 union members for about a week in December when a 30-day contract extension expired. After some tense negotiations, workers are back on the job. But a sticking point is still the provision that the company can force workers to give 60 hour weeks without prior notice.
