If you drive University Avenue outbound from Des Moines into Pleasant Hill, you know the traffic sometimes seems to be made extra stop-and-go by the traffic lights. Pleasant Hill officials say they've just finished a study of signal timing along University. They will now use the results of the survey to better coordinate red light times at intersections. They'll activate the new pattern next Wednesday. During peak traffic hours, you'll have fewer stops, they believe.
