Gov. Terry Branstad's released his picks for the Iowa Supreme Court. He's appointed Thomas Waterman, Edward Mansfield and Bruce Zager. They replace three justices voted out in November: Chief Justice Marsha Ternus and justices David Baker and Michael Streit. The Judicial Nominating Commission interviewed 60 candidates in November for the positions and narrowed the list to nine candidates for the governor to consider.
