HS Graduation Rates Up Last Year

Iowa’s high school graduation rate did something last year that hasn't happened in 4 years. It went up. The Des Moines Register reports some of the highest gains were in large districts with the lowest rates and rising minority enrollment. Des Moines was up yo 78% from 73% in 2009. Davenport, Waterloo, and Council Bluffs rates also went up, but more than a tenth of students didn't graduate on time.
