Tuesday’s traffic safety enforcement operation along I-235 in the Des Moines area produced 154-tickers, just over 100 for speeding. Polk County Sheriff's deputy Jana Rooker says 18 tickets were written for no proof of insurance, 7 for no driver’s license and 4 for no seat belt., and one for having an open container of booze. The stepped up enforcement's designed to improve driving habits in the long-term. There'll be another enforcement operation later this month in Polk County.
