Workforce Development Changes Coming

Iowa Workforce Development's closing offices statewide, and shifting around resources to meet new budget goals. KCCI reports the changes involve replacing regional offices with 500 local access points at public libraries, ISU Extension offices, Iowa Career Access Points and others. about 75 state employment workers will be let go, and 35 open positions eliminated. New IWD Director Teresa Wahlert says the reformed and enhanced delivery system starts July 1.
