The Cedar River between Waterloo and Cedar Rapids is rising quickly with the Benton County Sheriff's Office evacuating cabins along the river by boat. The Des Moines Register reports flash flooding's being caused by an ice jam near Mount Auburn. The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities issued a flash flood warning for the area.
