Re-Open Iowa for Business

Members of a group that supports independent farmers and environmental causes says the GOP's "Re-open Iowa for Business" hearings are about getting rid of regulations designed to protect people. KCCI reports republicans say the hearings are to identify rules and regulations that are unnecessarily burdensome to employers. Hearings are planned this weekend in Sioux City, Council Bluffs, Cresco and Cedar Falls. Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement say regulations don't kill jobs but instead protect the state's quality of life.
