Des Moines officials have picked Jeffrey Lester of Moline, IL, as their new city attorney. Lester's expected to be approved by the City Council when they meet Monday to take over the job. He replaces former city attorney Bruce Bergman who retired in January. KCCI reports Lester a Des Moines native and graduated from Hoover High School. He's been Moline's City Attorney since 1992. Lester's expected to start April 4 and be paid $155,000/year.
