The are more Des Moines PD cruisers rolling with video cameras. 43-are now equipped with cameras to provide officers with proof of chases, arrests and public interactions. The Des Moines Register reports the departments looking for ways to get funding to for 30-more cameras, getting one in each of the departments 73 patrol and traffic machines. The video cameras cost about $6-grand each.
