Flood Concerns From Ice Jams and Snow Melt

With temperatures up substantially today, Huge chunks of ice rushed down Iowa rivers and streams. The National Weather Service says that's led to rising river levels along the Raccoon River in central Iowa. Some ice jams were reported in the Van Meter area and also farther downstream in Des Moines. Some locations that could experience flooding include Des Moines, Pleasant Hill and West Des Moines.
