Clive's City Council decide's March 3 whether it'll go on record supporting a developer’s plans to build an affordable housing apartment complex on a vacant car sales lot in the 9-thousand block of Hickman Road. The Des Moines Register reports Newbury Management, of West Des Moines plans to pay for most of the $12-million project, using low-income housing tax credits. A spokesperson for the developer says city endorsement boosts their shot at getting state funding.
