New death certificates issued in Iowa

New information is being included now on death certificates issued in Iowa. Familes are now answering questions about the deceased's smoking history, place of employment, and education level. State officials say the form brings Iowa in line with other vital records jurisdictions in the United States. A death certificate is a permanent legal document admissable in court. The form is revised about every 10 years. These new forms went into circulation January 1st.
