35-year old Jonathan Lee Brewer Jr. of Des Moines, was arrested Sunday after he allegedly broke into an apartment in the 1000 block of 24th Street and poured gasoline on 17-year old Tyrone Cameron and then on his grandfather, Henry Palmer. The motive for the break-in, police said, may have been jealousy over a woman. There were no injuries. Brewer has been charged with first-degree burglary, which carries a penalty of up to 25 years in prison.
