Flags to Half-Staff

Gov. Terry Branstad has ordered all flags in Iowa to fly at half-staff tomorrow in honor of an Iowa Army National Guard soldier who was killed in Afghanistan. Staff Sgt. James Justice, of Grimes, died of enemy small arms fire on April 23 while helping to rescue the crew of a helicopter that made a hard landing. Another Iowa soldier, Spc. Zachary Durham, of Des Moines, was injured. Justice's funeral is tomorrow. In his order on Monday, Branstad says all U.S. flags and state flags under the control of Iowa are to be flown at half-staff tomorrow from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
