2,977 flags, one for every person killed 10-years ago, will start appearing on the Capitol grounds today, to remember 9/11. KCCI reports they'll stay there though Sunday's 10th anniversary. There'll be a special ceremony at 7:30 Sunday morning near the Capitol, at the corner of East Grand Ave. and East 12th Street. Among those taking part in that ceremony: The Iowa State Patrol, Des Moines Police, Polk County Sheriff's, and Iowa National Guard.
