Drivers in Des Moines and West Des Moines are seeing a new traffic light when they pull up to some intersections. Some of those intersections have an added flashing yellow arrow. According to KCCI, Some intersections using the new light have had a 30% drop in accidents and failures to yield on a turn. West Des Moines officials say failure to yield on a turn's the second most common crash after rear end collisions. Officials said the flashing yellow arrow is being added in Sioux City and Coralville.
